Greetings and Introductions
Howdy! to all those that know us and greetings to those of you who have found us. This is our place on the internet. We will be posting general updates, interesting finds, some of our history, future plans, inspirations, etc. We're excited to share the life we have found and will find with everyone, including complete strangers and those we love.
I fell in love with the word terrior. As you may know, things that are grown in any specific area take on the characteristics of the land where it is harvested. Wine, tea, wheat, peppers, tequila, syrup, scotch; they all take on the character of their setting. Soil, light, climate, nutrients, surrounding animal life all become contributing factors that are found in the taste of the crops. Tobacco raised in India is going to taste different than that of tobacco grown in Zimbabwe. Even though it is the same leaf, the same seed.
A french word derivative from latin meaning "earth", terroir highlights the relationship between man and land. We wield it with a broad stroke. We'll be using it to describe different people in different places. Even different groups in different places. Including all the varying characteristics and peculiarities.
We believe in a very large Jesus. We believe Him to be the expanse of all things. The ALL in ALL, if you will. I know it might sound strange but we even believe that time itself exists inside of Him. That's a big dude. We also believe Him to be The Vine, hence Terrior. I'm sure in the future this idea will become thematic and much more articulated. Until that time, we would be happy for you to join us in telling the story/stories as they unbeautifully and, on occasion, poetically unfold.
